By holding down the logo on the title screen for a few seconds, you can play Harbour Master with some of the ships replaced by pygmies from Pocket God.

It’s a neat, silly little easter egg, but after playing it that way for a few games, I switched back to the vanilla version.

My scores are pretty awful and after a fair few tries I’ve still not unlocked the next level. However, I very much enjoy it and having to sink the pirate ship with the cannon adds an extra element to the game – and one that works.

This is definitely, actually, without a doubt, better than Flight Control.

Harbour Master (iPhone) http://inverty.com/2009/07/27/harbour-master-iphone/ http://inverty.com/2009/07/27/harbour-master-iphone/#comments Mon, 27 Jul 2009 12:14:00 +0000 That Rev Chap http://inverty.com/?p=2536 It’s very much like Flight Control, but I think I prefer it. The main difference, apart from the visual difference between planes and boats, is that the ships carry cargo and, one unloaded in a harbour, you have to get them back out to sea. It’s an interesting twist and one that improves the game for me, as does just the general feel of the thing. Flight Control alternates between dull and frantic, Harbour Master seems better tuned and doesn’t have the same periods where nothing much is happening.

I’m not going to delete Flight Control from my iPhone, but I doubt I’ll be playing it much any more. Mind you, I wasn’t before.
