Rhythm Tengoku (GBA)
Sep 10th
It’s a rhythm action game from the Wario Ware team.
I’m sure it’s very good, but somewhat predictably, I’m stuck on a very early level where you have to hit baseballs.

Another game that cost a tenner.
It hurt my head.
A lot.
I was pleased when, on stage four, I finally died.

Checked out a FAQ. Oh, there’s a boost button.
Using that little tip I won the first GP with ease on the bus this morning. Second GP was also easy, until the last two races. Died before the end of both of those and thus only came second over the series. And that’s not good enough.

Cute little racing game. Took a while to work out (and I’m not sure yet if it’s possible to get a decent start), but now I’ve got there, I’m enjoying it. Even though I’m rubbish.
FIFA 2005 (GBA)

Oh! So close!
Should have won another Villa vs Birmingham ‘friendly’ 1-0, but a stupidly placed goal kick let them qualise right near the end of the game.
My fault entirely.

Yes, it really would be easier if I put the format in my post titles. So I shall from now on.
Anyway, I dug this out of it’s barely-played grave and have just given it a quick go. Maybe it’s just because I’m not using a phone keypad, but it seems quite lovely in comparison to Real Football.
However, I played as Villa and lost 2-0 to Birmingham, so I hate it.
Super Mario World

Excellent.
Through the Forest of Illusion and a couple of levels into Chocolate Island. I’m in an area where the coins I collect or the time I take changes which exit I get to. Well, er, thanks Nintendo. How am I meant to find the secret exit there without resorting to a FAQ, eh?

Hooray!
I found the secret exit I was missing in the Forest of Illusion.
A productive lunchtime, then.
Super Mario World
May 15th
I forgot to save last time I played so I spent my lunchtime getting a few exits that I’d previously done.
Oh well, it’s Super Mario World, so it’s not much of a chore, really.

Dug out the GBA version of this. I’d got to the Forest of Illusion. I’m still there now. I seem to have found the secret way out, but not the “normal” way out, which is a secret in itself. Being a forest full of illusions… or something. I know which level there’s another exit from, but I can’t find it… yet. I will do it! And without help, too. No GameFAQs for me.
