Halo 3 Beta (360)

I think I like this quite a lot. I’m not entirely sure, though. There don’t seem to be many different units and there’s no way to manually make mixed groups of units that you can easily access. (When playing Dawn of War yesterday I was struck by how much I group units with Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2,

One quick go on Saturday, second round of the UGVM Tournament. I lost 10-5, but I’d feared a much harsher score line, so I was quite happy with the result.

Last night was the first round of the ugvm knockout tournament, a duel against DBSnappa on Epitaph. It was close until the last thirty seconds or so, when I got a quick run of kills to win 10-7. Go me! Before that I’d played a bit of single player. I’m really struggling to get through

Today, I made my peace with level eight. It still wasn’t great, but by taking things more slowly I died less and didn’t get lost so much. It’s not up to the standards of the other levels and it’s much too long, but it’s not as bad as I thought. Level nine, the final level,

I am loving this. However, after playing the single player for an hour or so I accepted a game invite for some multiplayer fun, assuming the game had been saving my progress as I’d been going along. It seems not. Looks like I’ll have to restart, but I really don’t mind, given the fun I
