DYSWIDT? I am such a child.

Yes, I am still playing this every day without fail. It must have overtaken Animal Crossing for the “consecutive days played” record. Shame that I always stop blogging about daily games, so I can’t actually prove it.

I'm winner!

Really haven’t been gaming over the last few days. I’ve just not seemed to be in the mood for it. I’m sure I’ll get back into it before long. I have, however, been keeping up with multiplayer games, such as Words With Friends.

On my next turn I had four As.

Increasingly, this isn’t so much Words With Friends as Words With Strangers Who Appear To Be Cheating. I’ve even been asked if I’m a cheater after playing some good words. Well, I’m not. I don’t see the point of winning if you didn’t actually play the game yourself. Yes, I sometimes put something I’m not sure about to see if it works, but I don’t use anagram solvers or dictionaries or other apps to try and find big words.

A million and one games to get through after I spent lots of quality time with my iPhone over the weekend, so let’s get started. I’ve been neglecting to mention Words With Friends lately, despite playing it every day. So, to redress the balance, here’s a post about it.

Huh huh huh. Wiener.

Yes, it might have been better to do it on a day when I had fewer games to talk about, but never mind. Let’s face it, I may well still be blogging about the weekend’s games tomorrow.

Anyway, though, Words With Friends. It’s still on my iPhone, I still play it and it hasn’t changed in any major way, though every now and again the dictionary and interface get little tweaks.

I'm losing.

Out of my last ten completed games, I think I won two. For some reason I’m doing really, really badly lately. I don’t know if it’s because I’m tired, whether I’m having a run of bad luck or if everyone else has improved while I’ve stayed steady, but it’s really quite annoying.

...?

Had to delete Words With Friends and reinstall it at the weekend, because of one of my games went very wrong indeed. As you can see from the screenshot above.

It all works now, though. Not worth throwing a party for it, but it’s good that it’s not forever wrong.

Still, if I did throw a party I could have cake… Or I could just have cake, anyway. I’m an adult, I get to decide these things.

…Except, upon checking my wallet, it seems I don’t. Bah.

Always neutralise a Triple Word where possible.

Oh, yes, I still play this every day. It just doesn’t make for very interesting blog entries. And I always forget to take screen shots.

Barely touched my trusty iPhone gameswise over the weekend. Saturday was spent in London, taking my wife on a magical mystery tour for her birthday. Went to the Natural History Museum, the V&A and then finished off the day at the Legally Blonde musical. (Hugely enjoyable stuff – and not just before my Doctor, Peter Davison, is in it.) Then Sunday was spent with Red Dead Redemption.

Took me four or five turns to get the last letter I needed to make that word.

I did, however, manage to find time to keep up with my games of Words With Friends. It would be more accurate to have taken a screen shot of a solid but unspectacular move, but I just wanted to show off a bit.

Don't you just hate when you've got a great word and nowhere to put it?

Haven’t got many games on the go right now. If you want a game, please start one against me. I’m ThatRevChap.

I wrote a good word, Petey.

Fewer games than ever, but still enough for several moves a day.
