Pokemon Platinum (DS)

Blast from the past! Had a hankering for this, so dug it out and have spent an enjoyable few minutes using the stylus to make lines of matching Pokemon. Seems to have been unjustly forgotten this game – it’s a good little puzzler and the cutscenes look great.

I have foiled the evil Team Galactic! Ha ha! So that’s the end of the big story. Now I’ve just got… everything else left to do. Of most importance is the final gym and the Elite Four, but there’s tons and tons of toehr stuff to do, too.

Slogged my way to Celestic Town, or whatever it’s called, and thwarted Team Galactic’s evil plans there. I really like my current team, though my starter fire monkey chap has terrible defence. Still, he’s my starter, so he has to be in my team for ever and ever.

Played this last night for a bit. First I went into the underground tunnels and dug for spheres with my wife. (And I stole her flag. She was annnoyed, I was amused. I’m a bad husband.) Then we went up top and did some trading to evolve some guys. And then I did a few

In Veilstone City, or somewhere. Just tried the gym, but although everyone on the way was incredibly easy to defeat, the gym leader had a lucario I couldn’t touch. Very frustrating. I’ll have to do quite a lot of levelling, I think.
