Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City (Wii)
Jul 15th
Mott gave me a birthday cake. You know, on my birthday. That was nice. I was glad it was Mott who came by with the cake – he’s one of the proper, long-term residents, not one of these guys who just come to McNulty for a nice holiday.
Then yesterday Nintendo sent me a great model of the Eiffel Tower to celebrate Bastille Day. No one murders a marquis with impunity! (That was my line when I was in a school production of A Tale of Two Cities, many, many years ago.)
Peggle World of Warcraft Edition (PC)
Jul 10th
I’ve finished the ten-level adventure and the first three challenges, but there’s still a fair amount to do. Seven more challenges, then getting the high scores and 100% of the pegs on each level. Not bad for free, not bad at all.

I finally got to the part I was dreading. I’ve got two stars on all the races I’ve unlocked and it’s not enough to unlock any more areas. So I’m having to go back and do races on three-star difficulty. Going through the menus to do this means the load times are more of an issue than normal, but I’ve been surprised by just how much fun I’ve been having. Some races have been very easy, some hard, but I’ve enjoyed them all.
Ghostbusters Demo (PS3)
Jul 10th
Ghostbusters!
Played this, tried to separate the game from the licence, couldn’t. If it wasn’t a Ghostbusters game, would it be good? I’ve no idea.
The thing is, though, it is a Ghostbusters game and I got a huge thrill from running around with the other Ghostbusters and busting ghosts and being a Ghostbuster.
You see what I’m trying to say here, right?

Got a letter from deKay. Pascal gave me another keg. Sent a reply to deKay, attached keg.
Peggle World of Warcraft Edition (PC)
Jul 9th
Ten free levels of Peggle with a World of Warcraft theme. Can’t complain about that!
Oh, wait, yes I can – there’s no Mac version, despite both Peggle and WoW being available on OSX.
Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City (Wii)

Redd sold me a real painting. Now I don’t have to kill him. Not that I could, anyway, but, you know. I do wish he wouldn’t stuff an invite into my pockets every time I left his stupid shop, though. No, there is nobody I want to invite. I do not want another one. Not ever.

Gave Chow some new clothes. Ignored Sahara.
No, I’m not playing many games right now. I appear to be reading books instead. Weird. I will, however, probably be playing a lot of The Sims 3 now the weather’s cooling off a bit. Review was delayed by the heatwave, but I hope I can get back to it soon.

Bombing around Firemoor Fields, doing a two or three more career races, a couple more vista points, an Achievement for getting clothes for my driver, etc. I think I’m still quite a long way from opening up any new areas.
Solar Demo (360)
Jul 6th
A community game that people had recommended I play. I tried out the Sanbox mode until it kicked me out (i.e. about ten minutes or so) and it seemed nice enough and quite relaxing, but it didn’t really grab me. I’ll have to play it some more and see if it clicks for me.
