Went to bed a few minutes late because I couldn’t stop trying to get Wax Off. I failed. Didn’t even get close.
I need to get that Achievement, because it’s distracting me when I try to play Pacifism.

My lovely wife sent me a gold star for paying off my final mortgage, which is nice because the game gives you nothing.
No present, no statue, nothing.
Facebreaker Demo (360)

Took a long, long time to process my Xbox Live Vision camera pictures to make a face and ended up with a fighter who had all my facial features but looked nothing at all like me. It was all a bit strange – and the head was tiny.
Didn’t find much to recommend in the game, either. A basic fighter that didn’t seem to have any of the fluidity or finesse of decent fighters.
Alone in the Dark Demo (360)

Far too dark, clunky, annoying. Really couldn’t be bothered with it and after dying while rappelling down a wall past big fans and broken electrical cables I turned it off.
Braid Demo (360)

Went through this and got all the puzzle pieces in World 2. Took me quite a while to solve all the puzzles, but felt very satisfied when I got them. At 800 points I would have bought the game without question, but 1,200 points is just a bit too much. I will probably buy it – I have the points in my account – but I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on one game last night.

Today I caught some fish and a tin can. I shot down a present from the sky, which turned out to be a mountain bike. Agent S gave me some old flooring. I’ve paid off all but 60,000 bells of my final mortgage now. The trees should have new fruit tomorrow, so I’ll hopefully be able to finish paying it all off tomorrow. It’s very exciting to finally be doing it after all these years.

Just some free battles. I’m trying to get everyone up to level thirty before I continue with the story. I’ve let some people lag behind – Gilles especially – so it’s going to take a little while longer.
I wish the windmill stage had tougher enemies on it – it’s gorgeous to look at.

Well, I tried to play this last night, but I was awful. Didn’t get close to any high scores in any of the modes I played.
I did get to 98% of Wax Off before dying, but that was the nearest I came to doing anything useful.
