Apologies if this post is a bit weird – I'm testing out emailing entries to my blog from my iPhone. Not sure how to do labels – I guess I'll have to edit the post to add them later.
Anyway, I've been playing a bit of geoDefense – it gets a bit hectic at times.
Well, that was poorly formatted, but it worked after a fashion. I’ve edited it now. Probably best just to go through the browser and save drafts, then add the images and publish the posts later, when I’m at a computer.

Hooray! I finished all the Easy levels! Finally!
Now, obviously, I’ve moved on to the Medium levels. I did the first one easily, but the second one is giving me some trouble. I’ve not yet worked out the best way to use the new Vortex towers, I don’t think. I may try the level without them, see how much difference they actually make.

Possibly the game I’m playing most at the moment. It keeps on killing me, but I keep going back.
Here’s a picture of me winning a level. Enjoy it, it doesn’t happen often.
I’ve just noticed, though, that I only ended with nine lives. I think I started with ten, which means I must have let an enemy through. If I’d let a few through, fair enough, but just one? That’s going to annoy me forever. I may have to go back and play that level until I beat it without losing a life. At least I now know that it’s a level that responds better to lots of towers, rather than just a few high level ones.

I paid for the full version about two minutes after posting about the Lite version on Friday. I’ve had several “quick goes” over the weekend, most of which have been rather longer than I intended. It’s not a new experience, but it’s a very decent tower defense game, perfectly suited to its iPhone home.
It’s also very, very difficult. I’m doing the “Easy” levels, which are anything but. It’s the right kind of difficult, though, spurring you on rather than making you give up. I’ve noticed that I tend to stop playing once I beat a level and move onto another, not while a level is still beating me. That’s a very good sign, if you ask me.

Here’s a quiz for you. Look at the screenshot below.
Right, now, here’s the question.
Why is this game called geoDefense?
Need a moment to think about it?
No?
Okay, yes, the game is called geoDefense because it’s a Tower Defense game that looks like Geometry Wars. Very good. Have yourself a biscuit.
The look works well, actually, and it seems like a very good TD variant from the first few levels. I believe that it’s on sale now for 59p, so I’ll probably grab it at some point.
