3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures Demo (360)
Apr 19th
Very short demo. Didn’t really convince me to spend any points on the full game, though I do like the idea of designing my own holes.
Everybody’s Golf 5 Demo (PS3)
Apr 7th
Three holes of golfing goodness. Had to set up a Japanese account to download it, which was a pain, but it was just about worth it. It’s made sure I won’t be getting Tiger Woods and will be waiting for an English-language version of this instead.
I also tried the new control method, but with all the instructions in Japanese I couldn’t work out why my shots were failing so dismally, so I quit out on the first hole.
Touch Golf (DS)

This has gone and got hard, damn it.
I’m seeing the “Out of Bounds” message entirely too often.
Touch Golf (DS)
Oct 12th
Two things happened last night:
1) I got my first eagle.
2) I got past the rookie level.
I rock.
Tiger Woods 07 Demo (360)
Oct 10th
Damn.
I really enjoyed this.
And I really didn’t want to.
Looks merely okay, but the golf seems very solid. And that’s what important, yes?
Another one for the wishlist, then.
Touch Golf (DS)

Now this I genuinely like without any if, buts, maybes or reservations of any kind.
Which isn’t to say that it’s the best game I’ve ever played, but it’s a nice non-gimmicky golf game that makes good use of the stylus and is fun to play.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 Demo
Apr 14th
One gigabyte of data.
Four holes.
I used to own a computer with 1K of memory and you… could… do nothing with it. Okay, fair enough.
Anyway, the core golf seems pretty good. Got a triple bogey on the first hole, but an eagle on the final hole. It started to make sense quickly, then. And the analogue swinging seems a lot better than the last version of the game I played a few years ago. As it bloody well should, unless EA spend each year laughing and rolling around in piles of cash instead of actually changing their games between versions.
Still, nothing in there persuaded me to spend fifty quid on it. Fifteen, maybe, if I was desperate for some golf. (Would be twenty, but I need to be paid at least a fiver to put up with the crap EA smear all over their interfaces. While the demo has a nice, easy menu I’m sure the full game has some awfully complicated and confusing “world tour” type structure. And you probably have to say “Yes, I’m sure” eighteen times before it lets you save your game. And stuff.)
Monkey Ball Mini Golf
Mar 20th
A well-designed little mobile phone mini golf game with a Monkey Ball skin.
Just gone through the eighteen hole course once. Got a total of 2,410 points, which is probably rubbish. Some holes I ran out of bananas on, so didn’t get any points at all.
