Killzone 2 Demo (PS3)
Feb 24th
Still playing through this. Going to have to trade in some stuff for the full version later this week. I bet the full game will have some annoyances not in the demo, though. I just want lots more of what we’ve got, without bosses or timed sections or whatever else they’re going to throw into the mix.

Not often I just start up a game to watch the credits, but that’s what I did with yesterday. Lovely.
Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? (PSP)

It took me two hundred and fifty lives to kill Chefbot-9000. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY. And that’s after losing over two hundred and fifty lives on the previous level. I’ve got just over a hundred lives left, so I’m not going to be able to make it through the dessert pirates’ lair, I don’t think. I might have to talk to the guy near the Etnachamber and quit the game, but restart fro the beginning with everything I’ve previously found unlocked.
And I’m still missing an orb. A purple one.
Noby Noby Boy (PS3)

We reached the moon! Which is like earth, but full of spacemen and moon cars and, er, tapirs. Just based on the one map I tried earlier.
I love Noby Noby Boy and I love that all the players around the world had to work together to reach the moon.

One of the most amazing gaming experiences I’ve ever had. (It’s a long list, yes, but this is on there.)
To explain why, or really say anything about the game would spoil it. Go in knowing nothing, come out two or three hours later with a special feeling. I don’t want to go all Eurogamer on you and say that it’s going to make you examine your life or anything, but, bugger it, it just might. Only for a few minutes, nothing lasting, but that’s pretty amazing for a video game. And if it doesn’t, well, you’ll have spent six quid on a game that’s great fun and does something different in a way that Braid and Deadly “Ooh I’m a spider!” Creatures don’t.
I suppose, in a way it’s a role playing game that gives you a unique role to play.
But I’ve said enough.

Keep playing this. So what if there’s no score or goals? It’s a fun toy and I love it. Soon, we should all reach the moon.
Street Fighter IV (PS3)

Taken a liking to Crimson Viper. I’ve learned some of her moves and I feel reasonably comfortable with her. Can’t win online to save my life, mind. Still, I don’t mind. It’s still fun and I can have my own little party if I win a single round, which sometimes happens. Rarely, but sometimes.

Some multiplayer with my wife. I did terribly; I’m very out of practice.

Remembered KK this weekend. Good stuff. Eloise finally moved out. Also good stuff.

Still playing this. You know why? Because it’s great, that’s why. I thoroughly enjoy every trip I take through the demo and it’s not got old yet, despite the number of times I’ve played it. Lovely stuff.
