Dragon Quest VIII
Feb 5th
I’ve just met the most intentionally annoying character in RPG history.
No, make that gaming history.
No, make that plain, simple history.
Luckily, I doubt I’ve got to put up with him for too long.
Animal Crossing: Wild World

No fruit picking today. I’ve left it. I can do it tomorrow during the Eastenders omnibus.
Today was Flea Market day. Which meant that, theoretically, I could buy stuff from inside my neighbours’ houses. Except most of them weren’t home and the only thing I did want to buy – a stereo – wasn’t for sale. Oh well. Frobert and Anchovy bought some of my stuff. I didn’t really want to sell anything, but they seemed to want my shit so very much. Though why Anchovy bought a billiard table I don’t know, given that he’s gone and put it against a wall. D’oh.
Anyway, after that p’anther, Earl and Dekay came round to play and then I went to Teacozy to visit p’anther. A lovely time was had by all.

Thirty hours in now without any sign of the game coming to an end. It’s just huge. Good thing it’s such great fun.
There’s nothing I can really say about it that’s not full of spoilers, though. Even if I said I’d just got access to a… no, better not. Or that there’s a… yeah, better keep quiet about that.
Geometry Wars 2

Put it on for a quick go… which lasted an hour and a half.
Best score: 194,240.
I need to reach 250,000. Soon.
Animal Crossing: Wild World

I sold 103,000b of fruit.
I got Egbert some medicine.
And best of all… Dr Shrunk taught me love. Hooray!
Dragon Quest VIII
Feb 1st
Well, after an hour or so picking fruit and arranging furniture in Venture I decided to play some Dragon Quest VIII. I played it rather longer than I’d meant to, because it took me about an hour to get to a save point after I decided I wanted one. Partly my fault – going to where I thought there’d be one, not where I knew there was one – but still.
Phew. I’m exhausted. By the time I finally found a church and inn I was on my last legs. My health wasn’t too bad, but my magic points were pretty much exhausted, which was making fights much more tense. Under normal circumstances I’d have used to Zoom spell to get straight to a save point – I wasn’t in a dungeon – but I’ve just got a new mode of transport and I’m not sure how that reacts to the use of Zoom spells. I guess I’ve got to find out some time, why not tonight? I don’t know. Maybe I subconsciously wanted to play for as long as possible.
Anyway, I’m safe for now, but I’ve got a long journey into the unknown next time I play.
Trackmania Nations

It’s a racing game.
It’s a very good racing game.
It’s a very good racing game that’s great fun online because people can’t shove you off the track or otherwise annoy you.
It’s a very good FREE racing game that’s great fun online because people can’t shove you off the track or otherwise annoy you.
It’s a very good FREE racing game that’s great fun online because people can’t shove you off the track or otherwise annoy you… but it comes with Starforce copy protection.
Whether the Starforce thing is enough to put you off is up to you, but this is a very, very good game online and – as I said – it’s FREE. And I bumped into Ste from ugvm when I went online, which was nice.
HINT: Downloading it from Eurogamer was much, much faster than downloading from the official site, which is getting hit hard today.

Mortgage: PAID!
(Until a huge one arrives again tomorrow.)
ARWING: GOT!
(But I’ve not seen it yet. It’s awaiting new room tomorrow.)
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Jan 29th
Been away for the weekend. Played a small amount of Animal Crossing, but that was it.
I’m now within 20,000 bells of paying off my current mortgage, but I can’t be bothered to fish for ages, so I’ll pay it off next time some fruit grows.
Oddly, there were no dig spots today.
