Two more challenge matches. Not matches, that’s the other game. Levels. Yes, levels.
I miss the speed up button from the PC version.

I have done several challenges, most of them first time. At the moment they’re just normal levels with more orange pegs. The score attacks will come later and they scare me.
I’ve mostly been using the Spooky Ball as my power up, though when it looks like it’ll be useless I’ve just been going with the Magic Hat and seeing what it throws up. (Normally extra balls and super guides, the useless bloody thing.)
I have also been using my iPod to listen to music, an interesting extra feature Apple decided to include along with the ability to play Peggle.

It’s a shame that this is so battery intensive. I played for an hour or so today and almost drained my Nano’s battery.
I did get to the last set of story levels, though.

Turned this on for one level, ended up playing three. Not too bad, then.
The music is good and seems to be different for each level, but it’s not nearly as joyful as the Star Trigion music.
(Yes, I know it includes the actual honest-to-goodness Ode to Joy, but that’s used as a sound effect, not part of the musical soundtrack – and, quite frankly, Beethoven could learn a few things from Namco about how to write properly joyful music.)

Suffered from terrible “one-more-level” syndrome at lunchtime today, but finally managed to stop after I managed to lose a level.
Phew.

Just one quick level after playing Song Summoner. I’m very good.
Produced some great shots near the end of the level to win. Skill-based great shots, at that. It’s not all about luck, you know.

It’s Peggle.
In my pocket.
It’s a good thing it eats up the Nano’s battery or my life would be over.

I’m now on the 400,000 point levels. They are really rather tricky, but great fun.
I’ve got my wife addicted now.

Adventure mode was finished off quite quickly, so I’m now working through Challenge mode. I’m currently on the “get 300,000″ points levels, which are very satisfying. I’ve settled on the Zen ball as my preferred power-up.
