Tap, tap, tap, etc. It’s Rock Band, but instead of singing or strumming or bashing, you’re tapping your iPhone screen. It works surprisingly well, helped enormously by the fact that your actions actually make a difference to the music and it having a very decent, if quite small, selection of tracks.
I’ve gone through the World Tour on Easy drums and have had a great time. Well worth the £3.99 I paid for it over the weekend – and might even be worth the £5.99 it is now.

Picked this up after a long hiatus. Played a lot of the solo career, but the real fun came in World Tour mode. Team BB are back on the road! We played Seattle, London and Los Angeles, winning many new fans now we’ve put the difficulty up to Medium.
The best thing about the whole weekend, though, was finally managing to do Enter Sandman on Medium. That killed me last time I played.
Worst thing about the weekend? Having to play Highway Star – twice. Horrible.

I finally started up a console after a long break and decided to play some Rock Band solo.
Except after about three songs my back was hurting enough to make me stop. D’oh.
Still, it was fun for a while.

Yesterday I decided to practice guitar playing on Medium in the solo tour. It’s mostly very easy, but getting harder. The chorus of Celebrity Skin is beyond me right now. Lots of reds, yellows and blues in a confusing pattern.
Still, I’ve not failed a song yet. Hopefully my skills will have improved enough to get through Enter Sandman by the time I reach it.

I was playing guitar on Easy, but we got the maximum fans for that level, so I thought I’d step up to Medium.
That was fine for a few songs, but then we got to Enter Sandman, which I just can’t do. And my wife can’t save me because I die minutes before the vocals start.
Ugh.

Oh man.
Traded some stuff in for this today and when I got home my wife and I set up a band with me on guitar and her on vocals and started playing our World Tour.
It’s awesome stuff. I’ve been really enjoying it and so has she, except for the time a 2-song random set list threw up a French song followed by a German song.
I enjoyed them both immensely.

It’s brilliant. It’s the Singstar/Guitar Hero combination we’ve always dreamed of.
