A Gaming Diary
Final Fantasy I
Cerberus, bloody Cerberus.
His Thunderbolt attack just does too much damage, even with a Blue Curtain thing active. About 150 points of damage to every character every time he uses it, which is about two-thirds of his turns. Silence and paralyse spells just miss all the time.
I’m level thirty, I should be able to do this.
(And this isn’t even mentioning the instant death attacks for the other boss I’ve found on this floor. They’re called Death and Earthquake and they are evil.)

Nooooo! Don’t do these four bosses! A shortcut to each of them is opened after getting each elemental crystal – the four bosses accessible via the various caverns are easily the toughest in the game and are, bizarrely, optional.
I wasn’t able to beat them at level 50. What I did was go their just before going for the final boss and flattened the lot :)

Bah.
The game should tell me that.
It showed me a cut scene of the Earthgift Shrine opening up, so I went over there, got to the bottom and found these guys.
So I assumed I was meant to kill them, obviously enough.
