My save game got corrupted! Luckily, I save after every match and rotate two save files, so I managed to load just before my game against Grays. Which I drew again. D’oh.

Down to second after a draw with Grays. Grumble. I wish York would lose a game or two.

Instead of paying 1200 points for HD Street Fighter 2, we decided to play some of this old version.
However, it too is broken, because my wife won every match on this version, too.
She was very pleased.
She said, “Shall we never talk of this again?” Then there was pause and she said, “Because I want to talk of it again.”

Well, it looks nice – no, it does, even if the number of frames of animation is the same as ever – but it’s very broken. My wife won our match. Which is obviously wrong, as I’ve been playing Street Fighter games for well over a decade and this is the first time she’s ever played one.

Temple of Doom completed! Willie got somewhere she shouldn’t on the last level and the game went mad, vibrating the controller to an insane extent, but it sorted itself out after my wife dropped out and came back in.
I don’t care what people say, this is great fun. If annoying at times.

Fairly old arcade game HDed up for PS3. My type of thing. Fast, colourful, silly. I will certainly consider buying the full game, if it’s priced right. (Under a tenner.)

A loss to Ebbsfleet and a win against Southport in the league. We’re still top of the table, but our lead’s been cut to two points. Scary stuff.
We’re also through the first round of the FA Cup. We’re going to be playing Hampton & Richmond away.I won’t be too upset if we lose – the fewer games the better, I reckon, when you’re going for the league title.

Still top of the table and now a few points clear.
All is well right now, but we have a few long-term injuries and another one in the wrong place could send us hurtling towards oblivion.
I should mix up my tactics a little more to stop opposing teams getting used to my style of play, but I’m not much of a tactician. I tend to choose the best players to fit into a standard 4-4-2, only deviating when forced to by injury. The usual extent of my tactical changes is asking the players to play more attacking football now and again.

And we’re back to our winning ways and top of the table again.
Not bad with such a small squad.
According to my stats, I’ve bought twelve players for a total of £95,000 and sold six players for a total of £425,000. I’m great at transfers, me.
